The holiday season is here, and that means the custom cleat game just got stepped up for the week. Players and teams like to get into the festive spirit with some on-theme custom gear, so usually, that means Christmas-inspired colours or patterns.
Now, Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs is taking things to a new level. His cleats take inspiration from one of the finest Christmas movies there are — adorned on one side by a familiar image of Macauley Culkin.
The only way that this cleat could be any better is if it paid homage to the best Christmas movie of all-time, Die Hard. (This is not open to debate.)
Over in the ECHL, the Orlando Solar Bears busted out some Santa Claus uniforms for Christmas, and we’ll admit, the full commitment to the bit makes it hard for any other piece of thematic gear to top this.
