It was a busy day at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Saturday, with the NBA’s Mavericks hosting the Pelicans at 1pm local time followed by the NHL’s Stars hosting the Islanders at 8pm.
That didn’t leave the arena staff with much turnaround time, but in just two hours, they were able to transform the hardwood into NHL ice. This time-lapse video is a pretty satisfying one to watch.
The Mavericks were actually playing on the first half of a home back-to-back on Saturday, so after the Stars played their game, the arena was changed back to a NBA court for the next day. A pretty crazy sequence of events.
With where things stand at the moment, both the Mavericks and the Stars would be playoff teams, so those fans in Dallas have definitely been treated to some quality sports action lately. In particular, Luka Doncic has shockingly led the Mavs from a lottery team last season to the third-best team in a loaded West. Who could’ve seen it coming?
