LeBron James put up 51 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists in Game 1 against the Warriors, but all of that is being overshadowed by J.R. Smith’s play at the end of regulation.
With the Cavaliers tied, Smith got a rebound in the offensive end, and instead of putting another shot up, he held on to the ball and dribbled the clock out. This was a shocking attention lapse, and LeBron was visibly upset with his teammate after the play.
In that moment of frustration, one photo was immediately turned into a piece of NBA history.
Of course, as the Internet usually does, they made a mockery of the photo, making memes and relating it to moments of frustration in all aspects of life.
