The 76ers unveiled their awesome 'Classic Edition' jersey for the upcoming season

Bringing back vintage jerseys is a great way for teams to honour their past and bring it to the forefront for fans that may not be familiar with their favourite team's history.

Obviously some franchises are more storied than others and those teams tend to have more options when it comes to throwback jerseys. The Philadelphia 76ers are one of those teams and on Thursday, they unveiled their Classic Edition uniform for the upcoming season.

The jersey pays homage to the one the 76ers wore for half of the 1970/71 season. Philly is just one of 12 teams that will wear a Classic Edition jersey this season.
