Terry MacLaurin is literally doing everything for the Washington Football team. Catching more than his fair share of targets, hitting pay-dirt, and… tackling?

Yes, that’s right. The sophomore receiver made one of the best plays of the NFL season on Thanksgiving after Alex Smith threw a brutal third quarter interception. Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith appeared to be well on his way to a pick-six until MacLaurin lunged at his feet and took him down just yards away from the end zone. In case you had any questions about this guy receiving the C for the Football Team this year… this should answer them.

The Football Team actually went on to hold the ‘Boys to three points and didn’t allow another point after in a 41-16 win. Think about how differently the game could have gone if MacLaurin doesn’t make that tackle. The game is tied, Dallas takes over momentum, it really could have led to an entirely different outcome. As for Scary Terry’s speed on the play? Yeah, he was motoring.

Surprisingly, this probably wasn’t even the nicest tackle made by a receiver this season. That honour belongs to Seahawks superstar D.K. Metcalf, when he chased down Budda Baker in Week 7.

Call it athleticism but when it really comes down to it, these plays are all about heart. Washington now leads the NFC East with a 4-7 record.
