Team USA is bringing home the gold medal from this year’s World Juniors!

It all came down to a North American showdown at this year’s tournament, but two goals was all it took for the Americans to come out on top over one of the hottest goalies and teams in the fight.

Canada outshot USA in the game, but Spencer Knight stood tall between the pipes and the American defence shut down the Canadians around the net to keep them off the board all night long when it mattered the most.

To no surprise, Trevor Zegras was named the World Juniors MVP for this year’s tournament, who finished with a goal and an assist in the final game.

There was some great smack talk between the two fan bases leading up to the game, but Canadian fans showed respect where it was due after the tough loss.

After failing to medal last year, USA bounced back in a strong way by capturing its fifth gold medal in World Juniors history and their first since 2017.
