T.J. Oshie was living his best life on Tuesday as the Washington Capitals forward spent the day with the Stanley Cup.

The 31-year-old arrived in Warroad, Minnesota, early Tuesday morning and he had all eyes on him as he got a ride into town in Franklin D. Roosevelt’s presidential car from 1933.

One of his first stops of the day was to the Warroad Gardens hockey arena where he met both the boys and girls hockey teams.

While he made the trip back to the arena where he played his high school hockey, Oshie was honoured in an incredible way as Warroad mayor Bob Marvin declared July 24, 2018, as T.J. Oshie Day.

He was also joined by Warroad native Gigi Marvin, who won a gold medal with the US women’s hockey team in South Korea.

After greeting the Warroad natives and posing for a bunch of photos with the young hockey players, Oshie headed back home where he got to enjoy a nice bowl of Cap’n Crunch out of the Stanley Cup.

Not a bad way to spend your day with the Stanley Cup and we’re sure he still has a few more things up his sleeve.
