Hockey is underway in the Olympics and even though fans and players are still disappointed that NHL players aren't participating, it's still been amazing to watch.
Plus, there have been some serious surprises and we're not even close to determining who's going to win gold.
Aside from the upsets, one of the biggest surprises thus far occurred ahead of Sweden's opening game against Norway as projected first-overall pick Rasmus Dahlin didn't dress.
Sweden ended up winning the game 4-0, but the move was shocking to say the least, especially when you consider how well Dahlin played in the World Juniors and Sweden dressed seven of their eight defenceman.
Such a surprising decision needed an explanation and Sweden coach Rikard Gronborg offered one up:
The reasoning for not dressing Dahlin is quite odd because he's one of the most talented players on the team and the only way his age won't be a factor is if he gets experience.
It is just one game, though, and maybe Gronborg has a plan to ease Dahlin into the lineup. If he's a healthy scratch or 7th defenceman going forward, though, it will be disappointing from a fan perspective to say the least.
