Many banners hang from the rafters of the Staples Center in Los Angeles, thanks to the arena’s championship-winning tenants including the NBA’s Lakers, NHL’s Kings, WNBA’s Sparks and more.

There’s also a banner for Taylor Swift, celebrating her record of sellouts in the arena... but it’s safe to say that banner stands out from the sports banners in the arena, and it’s been a controversial addition to the rafters.

The banner has been there since 2015, although the Kings made the decision to cover it during games last year. Now, thanks to pushback from some superstitious Kings fans, the banner has been removed.

While the Kings were a successful team in the early 2010s, they've gone through a bunch of disappointing seasons since the banner went up, going without a single playoff series win since then.

There have been online petitions and other complaints against the banner from Kings fans, and now it looks like the team is just going to remove it from the rafters.
