What’s better than a car commercial with one iconic basketball player?
Two obviously!
Throughout the NBA season, American used-car realtor Carmax has partnered up and released various ads with Steph Curry where the continuous joke is Curry dealing with employees who have absolutely no idea who he is.
Though earlier Sunday, Carmax’s latest commercial caught a lot of people’s attention as it showcased both Curry and WNBA superstar Sue Bird.
Within the commercial, the agent tells Curry “If you had told me this morning I’d be working with a four-time champ”, before Curry corrects him that he has won three times, and not four.
The agent corrects him right back, stating how he actually just sold a car to Sue Bird before the camera pans to her waving while hoping into her big yellow bow decorated new vehicle.
“11 All-Star appearances, can you imagine?”
Curry then tells him how he’s trying before the commercial ends.
It’s safe to say this is one of our new favourite commercials. Seeing this rare partnering between both an NBA and WNBA star has us excited to see what the future holds for promoting more stars within women’s sports.
And the internet pretty much felt the same way as their reactions were pretty on par!
