NASCAR took a huge step towards change and social justice when they banned the Confederate flag from all events, a symbol with racist history and underlyings. As a result, they’ve received some backlash, but tons and tons of support as well.
Perhaps no one has been more supportive of the move that New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara. The star back suddenly and publicly became a huge NASCAR fan, applauding them for the flag ban but furthermore actually watching and getting involved in the events.
On Sunday, Kamara even made the trip down to Miami to catch the race, in which he showed a ton of support towards Bubba Wallace – the driver who first asked for the flags to be banned.
