Saturday, P.K. Subban returned to Montreal for just the second time since being traded back in 2016, and as always, his arrival made a splash.

The Predators were able to get the W in the shootout, but the main talking point following the game wasn't about the result, it was about the current state of Subban's relationship with his former teammates.

At the time of the trade, it was widely reported that Subban's teammates were just as surprised by the trade as the defenceman himself, and that there were no issues with the Norris trophy winner in the locker room. Saturday, Subban former teammate, Brendan Gallagher seemingly challenged that perspective following the game, stating that he didn't understand why he was being asked about his former teammate and that the defenceman "tried to make it about P.K. Subban...which is what he does."

The statement began to make the hockey world begin to question how Subban's former teammates REALLY feel about him, although Subban made it clear during his own post-game interview that he does still speak with a number of Habs players. Sunday, Subban addressed the matter for the second time, not so subtly showing that a few of his former Habs teammates were pleased to see him.

This seems like the appropriate time to use the eyes emoji, because quite clearly Subban heard what Gallagher said and wanted to let everyone know that he's still got pals on the team. Unfortunately the two sides don't meet again in the regular season, and unless Montreal shoot their way up the Eastern Conference standings, a match-up in the Stanley Cup Final seems unlikely.

Who knows, though, perhaps Gallagher will clap back on Twitter.
