It’s got to be tough to be a professional athlete sometimes. You are constantly being asked to chat, take pictures, and sign autographs, and it must be tough to keep a smiling face all the time. Sometimes you just have to feel a little awkward!
Dylan Strome and Alex DeBrincat were DEFINITELY feeling a little awkward when the ‘Hawks decided it would be a good idea to “unveil” them for an autograph signing session. Similar to what you would do with a statue, the two Blackhawks were unveiled from behind a tarp for a small crowd of cheering fans.
It was… supremely awkward.
The look on Strome’s face is absolutely priceless. Honestly, we kind of appreciate the entertainment value of this cringey moment, and we’re thinking it should happen more often. In fact, autograph sessions shouldn’t even be allowed without a dramatic (and uncomfortable) reveal.
