This year’s All-Star Weekend takes place in Charlotte, the childhood home of Steph and Seth Curry, and both players are partaking in the three-point shooting contest. It was just 27 years ago that their father, Dell, was representing the Charlotte Hornets in the same event.

Steph Curry is throwing it right back to 1992 with his All-Star style. He was wearing the same jacket that he wore when he sat on his father’s lap on the bench of that three-point contest from all of those years ago, a very 90s windbreaker.

The nostalgia! If only Dell knew then that his son would go on to become one of the greatest shooters in NBA history — or even that his other son would turn out to be a similar scorer in his own right. Unfortunately, neither Curry was able to take home a win in Charlotte, as Joe Harris of the Nets was able to edge Steph in the final round.

Dell did make an appearance, however. Before the three-point contest started for real, the former Hornet invited a few other NBA legends on to the court with him to shoot for charity. These old-timers seemed to be a bit rusty, but it was all in good fun — in the end, they still donated $35,000.
