Steelheads fans are going to... steelhead.
Thomas Harley’s goal for the OHL’s Mississauga Steelheads was so nice that they had to throw a fish on the ice. We can't confirm that this is an actual steelhead trout, but, you know, it would be a pretty cool way to root for a team called the Steelheads.
Harley was the 18th overall pick in this year's draft by the Dallas Stars. Unfortunately, they don’t throw trout on the ice in Dallas.
But they do in Idaho! The local ECHL team over there is also called the Steelheads, and they have a rich history of throwing trout on the ice. We definitely think Sauga should bring this kind of energy.
