In 2015, James Conner was disagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a treatable but deadly form of cancer. Declared cancer-free five months later, the running back would go on to be selected in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

On Sunday, Conner shared a special moment with a young cancer survivor in the crowd before a road game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Very cool! Of course this goes beyond team allegiances, and you love to see Conner making a young fan’s day.

Starting in lieu of Le’Veon Bell this season, Conner has been a minor revelation. Through five games, he has run in five touchdowns and gone for 581 yards overall. However, that didn’t stop fans from getting a few jabs in on his rather ridiculous hairstyle from earlier in the season.
