The World Juniors are just one sleep away, and the hockey world could not be more excited. The tournament is a reliable source of entertainment and good hockey.
On Christmas Day, we found out that we have one MORE thing to look forward to in the 2022 tournament. According to Canada’s alternate captain Cole Perfetti, the team’s iconic goal song “Hey Baby” will be making its return!
Perfetti – who played on Team Canada during last year’s World Juniors – confirmed that it was a no-brainer amongst the squad. So much so, it was apparently unanimous.
As Canadians prepared their “Hoo, ha!” exclamations, they took to Twitter to share their thoughts. For the most part, fans are hyped. Some would rather have seen the goal song sent to an early retirement, however!
