The St. Louis Blues are heading into the NHL season as defending Stanley Cup champions for the first time in franchise history and the city is still celebrating their historic run.
On Friday night, a lot of members of the Bluesβ Stanley Cup winning team were in attendance at the St. Louis Cardinals game where they got a standing ovation before the game got started from those in attendance.
Special guests usually get to throw the ceremonial first pitch, but since there were so many guys on-hand they decided to narrow it down to one first pitch, which was thrown by defenceman Colton Parayko.
The pitch definitely wasnβt as fast as his slapshot, but at least he delivered it over the plate.
Ahead of the game, the Cardinals took the field in their hockey-inspired uniforms.
Safe to say this team will forever be loved by the Blues faithful and St. Louis sports fans.
