While they were never actually teammates, the Esposito brother – Tony and Phil – were both members of the Chicago Blackhawks.
Phil, the older brother, began his career with the ‘Hawks and played in parts of four seasons. He played 235 games with the franchise, totaling 174 points in that time.
He was certainly less significant to the ‘Hawks franchise than his brother Tony. While Phil went on to enjoy massive success in Boston before finishing his career with the Rangers, Tony spent almost his entire NHL time in the ‘Hawks Black and Red.
15 seasons is how long, to be exact. Of his 886 NHL games played, only 13 of them were not with the ‘Hawks (the Canadiens, in case you were wondering).
Ahead of the Chicago Blackhawks clash with the St. Louis Blues, the Esposito brothers suited up in ‘Hawks uniforms for the first time together. They got together for what has been deemed #OneLastShift.
Awesome moment!
