When you think of current quarterbacks that have had the most successful career, you think Tom Brady. When you think of quarterbacks that have had the most consistent career, you think Brady, Aaron Rodgers, or Drew Brees. When you think of the quarterback that has had the most interesting career… you may toss Ryan Fitzpatrick at the top of that list.

Fitzpatrick is the definition of a journeyman. He’s hopped around the country quite a bit, filling in one of the quarterback slots for whichever team was willing to take him on. Certainly serviceable for lots of his career, you never seem to know what you’ll get out of the veteran.

Remember Fitz-Magic? That was only a year ago.

Anyway, the bearded wonder now calls Miami home as the Dolphins decided it was time to move on from Ryan Tannehill. There is certainly nothing promising about this current Dolphins squad, and that showed up in a big way when they got absolutely trounced by sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. We’re talking 59-10. It wasn’t close.

While the game was forgettable for everyone wearing white and turquoise, it did produce one memorable stat. Actually, technically two.

Is that… good? Or bad?

On one hand, it means that he’s been serviceable enough to make eight different rosters, which you could say is impressive. On the other hand, it hasn’t really led to much success, and a lot of his role included settling into the backup job.
