Making the roster of a World Juniors team is a very special accomplishment for young hockey players. Particularly in a country like Canada, where the talent pool is so crowded and ripe.
It reflects the potential you have, the dedication you’ve shown, and the qualities of a winner shining through, as decision makers choose you to fill a roster spot in the lineup they’ve deemed most likely to succeed.
To make the moment even more special, Hockey Canada decided to deliver the news in an alternative way. Set up on Zoom – as everything is these days – we can now watch Taylor Gauthier, Dylan Garand, and Devon Levi find out that they’ve made the team from their own family.
Garand finding out had us reaching for the tissues.
All the coffee-fueled early morning practices, and the long road trips to away tournaments come flooding back into one special moment.
