The last appearance for Loyola-Chicago in the March Madness tournament came in 2018, when team chaplain Sister Jean became an immediate internet sensation for her presence supporting the team.

We have good news: Loyola-Chicago is back, and along with them, Sister Jean.

Loyola-Chicago will be a No. 8 seed this year, taking on No. 9 Georgia Tech in the first round. In 2018, they were a No. 11 seed that went on a historic run to reach the Final Four, so we're sure that they'll be a popular pick in everyone's brackets again this year.

Because of the pandemic, it remains unclear if Sister Jean will attend the team’s games in person, although she has lobbied for the chance to do so.

Either way, whether she’s there at the tournament in person or through virtual means, we know she’ll be with the team in spirit.
