In case you haven’t heard, Simone Biles – who is only 24 years old – is gymnastics’ GOAT.
Biles already has four – soon to be FIVE – moves names after her, four gold medals at the Rio Olympics, the most World medals and Gold medals of all time, and with her seventh national women's all-around title win at the US Gymnastics Championships yesterday, she became the winningest woman in the tournament’s history.
She’s in a league of her own to the point where she knows she’s going to win going into things, so she invents new moves and pushes the envelope to compete against herself.
Yeah, that’s Greatest Of All Time mentality if we’ve ever heard it.
Speaking of GOAT mentality, Biles is rightfully confident in her abilities, which we think is part of her edge. A woman who not only is the best, but knows she’s the best and approaches every situation and competition like the beast she is? Nearly unstoppable, if you ask us.
One of the coolest things about Biles for us (aside from her jaw-dropping abilities) is her willingness to embrace her GOAT status in the sweetest way possible. In one of the most iconic style choices we’ve ever seen in sports, Biles has been incorporating rhinestone goats into her leotards.
Legend status.
When people talk about making statements with fashion, this is what they mean!
We love Simone’s confidence in a society that often discourages women from owning their own greatness, and we hope all the future GOATs are watching her poise.
