While Connor McDavid may have passed Sidney Crosby as the best player in the world, he probably hasn’t passed him in popularity.
Crosby and Ovechkin are still the two most popular players in the NHL and have a lot of kids who look up to them. That’s why it’s always nice to see some moments from behind the curtain where they get to interact with their fans, because it often means that much more. Sidney Crosby was recently mic’d up at a kids camp and he had an adorable interaction with a young fan.
There’s nothing quite like staying up past your bed time as a kid to watch your favourite players play.
Crosby wasn’t the only one in attendance obviously and the other players were mic’d up as well.
Still, it’s not quite as good as having the kids themselves mic’d up.
