The saying "he'd like to have that one back" gets thrown around quite frequently in hockey.
That sentence is often uttered from analysts when describing a weak goal a goaltender lets in. Truth be told, ask any goaltender and they'll tell you that they want every single goal they've let back, not just the weak ones.
But this clip we're about to share is one of the tougher goals you'll see a goalie surrender.
During an SHL match between Leksands and the Vaxjo Lakers, the puck takes a funny bounce off a defender's foot. It ends up just outside of the Vaxjo crease, and that's when it goes downhill.
When the goaltender went to move the puck to a teammate, the puck out underneath his glove and right to a member of the opposition for one of the easiest goals of his career.
The worst part? The game was tied at 2-2, meaning this counted as the game-winning goal.
Poor goaltender.
A lesson to all you 'tenders out there: make sure your glove is sealed to the ice, or your paddle in infront of your glove so there's no way the puck can squeak out.
