Shea Weber officially became a member of the NHL’s 1,000 games played club on Tuesday, and the Montreal Canadiens decided to invite his family to celebrate the occasion.

Before Thursday’s game against the Ottawa Senators, Weber was joined on the ice by his family to receive the commemorative plaque and silver stick in a pregame ceremony. Tell us you aren’t emotional seeing the young Webers come out on the ice for their dad’s big moment! In their No. 1000 jerseys!

For his actual 1,000th game played back on Tuesday, the Habs prepared a video tribute for the occasion, but it’s nice to see that they were able to make it a family affair as well.

It’s just too bad that Weber won’t be able to make the trip to Nashville to play in front of Preds fans this season, who still have plenty of love for him from his 11-year tenure there. Before the pandemic put the 2019-20 season on pause, his 1,000th game was originally scheduled to have been a road game in Nashville last April.
