Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is one of the brightest young stars in the NBA, and he’s a promising figure in Canadian basketball as well. While Shai, who grew up in Hamilton, is has one of the scarier potentials in the NBA, it was him that was feeling fear on Tuesday when the Oklahoma City Thunder went to get their first vaccination dose.

As you can see, one of those photos is not like the other. As it turns out, Shai is afraid of needles. In order to help him through the process, fellow Canadian Luguentz Dort provided some emotional support.

The vaccines continue to roll out across professional sports, so hopefully soon enough we’ll be able to watch sports without the fear of a COVID-19 outbreak on the teams. For now, we just appreciate this super cute moment.
