Last season, Tyler Ennis played for the Toronto Maple Leafs. This season, Tyler Ennis plays for the Raptors 905. Same city... but two different Tyler Ennises.

One Tyler Ennis has played in the NHL for the past 11 seasons, while another has bounced around the NBA since 2014 as a former first round pick. Every once in a while, folks seem to get these two mixed up as fellow Tyler Ennises of sports — and both are Canadians! — but it looks like it’s all in good fun.

Hockey’s Tyler Ennis, who plays for the Ottawa Senators, even sent a signed Tyler Ennis jersey to basketball’s Tyler Ennis.

"I have been following your career closely," writes Ennis. "Looking forward to meeting you one day!" Yes, we’re all looking forward to that. We have got to get these two into the same room together.

Tyler Ennis, the basketball player, isn’t particularly well-known across four seasons in the NBA, but if he ever gets the call-up to the Raptors proper, the crowd at Scotiabank Arena could be in for a little surprise. Yes, there are two of them.
