With the World Cup set to tip off in two weeks, marketing campaigns are kicking into full gear, and hey, speaking of gear, Nike has begun their roll-out of team kits for sale. Yet, it didn’t take long after the floodgates opened for the jerseys of this year’s Nigerian team to sell out.

Of course, that should be of little surprise, because this particular kit is absolute heat:

In just minutes, the Nigerian jerseys were sold out online. At a Nike location in London, the hype manifested in lines spanning the block:

The loud design elements in the jersey, a combination of neon green and striking zig-zag lines, appear to have resonated with soccer fans. Since these jerseys were announced a few months ago, the soccer world has really taken to the jerseys.

Nigeria isn’t considered to be a favourite in the World Cup by any means, but with young talent across the team anchored by former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel, they’re at least expected to be an entertaining group to watch. Of course, with those kits, how could they not be?
