The days of the Supersonics are long gone and many people reminisce on the days of Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton but rumour has it that the Sonics returning to Seattle might be on the table after all.
The mayor of Seattle had some positive words to say about her conversation with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.
Seattle was notorious for its ruckus arena and with the NHL also expanding to Seattle, the NBA might want to get their hands in the mix to compete for the sports market. They also have the brand new Climate Pledge arena which would suit an NBA very nicely should they choose to go there.
