Schutt Sports has attempted to creative a way for football players to protect themselves and other during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Darren Rovell reported on Monday that the company is now offering splash shields with the purpose of blocking "droplets from sweats, coughs and sneezing." Rovell added that the cost of the upper and lower guard is $15.

Everyone on Twitter was asking how players are going to be able to see if it fogs up too badly and if players will overheat under it:

According to the Los Angeles Daily News, the NFL is working with engineers at Oakley on a facemask that will offer the same sort of protection as a surgical mask. Per the report, the mask could use surgical or N95 material.

Time will tell what the NFL ultimately goes with but it is nice to see companies attempting to give the league options heading into the season.
