The Savannah Bananas are a baseball team based out of Savannah, Georgia, that plays in the Coastal Plain League.

Although the team has only been around since 2016, they have one of the most loyal fan bases in all of sports as they sold out every game of the 2017, 2018 and 2019 seasons, and they’re currently riding an 88-game sellout streak.

Last month, the team announced that they’re doing some different this upcoming season and it’s all for the fans.

When fans show up at Grayson Stadium this year they’re going to notice something a little different as the team has removed all the ads from the outfield walls and the walls in general, and are going to make it like an old school ballpark and one that’s entirely for the fans.

Everything is sponsored these days, even things that aren’t actually in the building and can only be seen on television, but the Bananas are changing that this season. They will also allow fans to go onto the field after home games and sign their name on the right field wall, which will be known as the “Fan Wall”.

The Bananas have led the Coastal Plain League in attendance the past four seasons, so if they keep that up again this season it shouldn’t matter that they don’t have any sponsors plastered on the wall.
