San Francisco 49ers will honour Dwight Clark with a massive statue outside the stadium

Dwight Clark was one of the greatest players to ever suit up for the San Francisco 49ers and the organization is doing something very special in his honour this upcoming season.

On Wednesday, 49ers President Al Guido shared some of the team’s plans to honour Dwight Clark and one of the most memorable plays in football history, ‘The Catch’, and it includes an incredible larger-than-life-size statue of the iconic moment.

Clark was 6-foot-3 but the statue is going to be even taller than he was as it’s expected to be around 7-feet tall and weigh around 350 pounds. On the opposite side of the wall behind Clark, there will be etched graphics describing “The Catch” and will also include a larger-than-life-size statue of Joe Montana.

It is going to be located outside the stadium on the Intel Plaza - Gate A - open to all fans on Gameday and Non-Gameday
