Dominik Hasek is one of the greatest goalies to ever suit up for the Buffalo Sabres. In his nine seasons with the organization, Hasek recorded 234 career wins in 491 regular season games and owns the franchise record for most shutouts (55), save percentage (.926) and goals against average (2.22).
While Sabres fans haven’t had much to cheer about this season or for the past seven seasons for that matter, the ones attending the team’s final home game of the year will go home a little happier regardless of their team wins or not and it’s because they’ll be taking home their very own Dominik Hasek bobblehead.
It’s only right to create a Hasek bobblehead posing in a weird stance because he was a very unusual goalie. To make the giveaway even better, everyone who attends the Sabres’ final home game against the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night will go home with a bobblehead.
We’ll most likely never see another goalie play like Hasek ever again, but we’re glad we got to witness his greatness while it lasted.
