We’re less than a month away from the start of the NHL season and players across the league are doing their last second preparations before they report to training camp.
With it being the Anaheim Ducks’ 25th anniversary this season, both John Gibson and Ryan Miller had some special masks designed for the 2018-19 campaign. Since the team plans on rocking multiple various jerseys this season in honour of the 25th anniversary of their existence, Miller went extremely old school with the look of his mask.
The artwork was done by Bishop Designs and has an incredible resemblance to Drake DuCaine’s mask from Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series, only with a much more intense feel to it.
Miller’s incredible new mask also includes a tribute to his family with a hint of what it’s like to live in Anaheim, California, on the back of his mask, and also included the team’s 25th anniversary logo on the side of the mask.
It’s unlikely that Miller rocks this mask all season long, but expect to see him rocking it the nights the team wears an alternate throwback uniform.
