We didn’t realize just how much we missed the Olympics until we got them back, and we’ve been loving the coverage of the games so far.

There’s something about the Olympics that’s just different for us; the raw emotions, the way athletes train their whole lives for one moment, the sportsmanship, representing their countries…it’s everything we love about sports in one place, and we never want these games to end.

The one thing we have been missing these Olympics, though? Family moments.

Families sacrifice more than we know in order to get their loved ones to the big stage, and seeing families celebrate the moment as a group is always beyond special. While those moments haven’t been possible these Olympics with athletes travelling alone because of the pandemic, many competitors have found ways to include their families from afar. Our favourite so far? Shot putter Ryan Crouser won his second consecutive Olympic gold in the men’s shot put event, breaking his own Olympic record in the process, and he held up a sign dedicating the moment to his grandpa.

What a moment for the American and his family!

Congratulations to Crouser on the accomplishment, and shout out to him for providing us with this adorable moment.
