Now that it's officially 2017, we've been thinking about what trends will carry over from last year to this year.
For example, will the #MannequinChallenge or 'Dabbing' still be a thing this year, or have they both been left behind, which we imagine a lot of people might be hoping for.
Well, we're here to inform you that the days of the dab aren't over yet, and trolling is as popular in 2017 as it was in 2016.
Ahead of the Centennial Classic on Sunday as the Detroit Red Wings were coming out to take the ice, a kid ripped up a Red Wings flag in front of the team's goalie and dabbed on multiple players, too.
The definition of savagery right there. The flag was ruthless enough, but to dab on Frans Nielsen and Dylan Larkin back-to-back, that's just taking it way too far.
Of course, it was all in good fun and to get some attention, and we can't really fault the kid for taking advantage of his opportunity on television.
If he was in fact a Red Wings fan, though, he probably should have waited until after the game to start ripping up team merchandise as Detroit fell to Toronto 5-4 in overtime after coming back from down three goals in the third period to force OT.
