Russell Wilson signed a hefty extension with the Seattle Seahawks this past April as a four-year, $140 million contract with a $107 million guaranteed will kick in next season, but it also came with a $65 million signing bonus.
At the time of the signing, the 30-year-old’s deal was the highest average paid contract, most total guarantees, and biggest signing bonus in NFL history and he used his money to surprise his mother with one of the most incredible Mother’s Day gifts of all-time.
Russell’s mother’s reaction was absolutely priceless and you can’t blame her one bit considering her son just handed her keys to a beautiful new home. What’s even better is how she didn’t truly believe it was hers until the key actually opened up the front door.
It’s going to be hard for the Seahawks’ quarterback to top this gift next year.
