No sport has a more entertaining summer and offseason year in and year out than the NBA.  Between superstar player movement and the wonderful (and wild) hype and quotes from players, coaches, and team executives, there's never a dull moment The Association.

Friday, for example, the basketball world was talking about something Rockets GM Daryl Morey said on a podcast about James Harden and the greatest player of all-time to many, Michael Jordan.

There's a lot to unpack here because this is well past a hot-take.  Morey is one of the smartest people in basketball and wouldn't say what he said without having the numbers to back it up.

Even if the numbers do back up his statement, though, basketball has changed so much since Jordan was in his prime winning championship after championship.

The discrepancy between the amount of threes Harden and Jordan took in their prime is enough to show how the game has evolved.  Anyone that watched MJ will also bring up his titles and Harden's lack of playoff success.  Whenever the Bulls needed a bucket, Jordan was that guy.

Still, it's hard to ignore how dominant a scorer Harden has been in his prime and if anything, Morey's comments created another interesting conversation for basketball fans to debate over, even if it seems totally outlandish to some.
