When we talk about preseason hockey, we're usually talking about how the young prospects are playing or how the superstars of the game look heading into the season.
There are never really controversial plays in preseason games, but there was one Wednesday night in Montreal as Max Domi was assessed a match penalty for sucker punching Aaron Ekblad.
After the game, Roberto Luongo of the Panthers commented on the play and he didn't hold back when discussing the "gutless" play.
When you watch the play, it's almost impossible not to agree with Luongo's take on what transpired.
Ekblad didn't want to fight, but Domi decided to punch him in the face anyway and despite how bad Ekblad looked in the aftermath of the punch, the good news is he's healthy.
Domi, meanwhile, has a hearing on the horizon for his actions. (H/T: John Lu)
