It’s always an honour to be selected high in the NBA Draft, but it often comes with the Catch-22 of joining one of the worst, lowest-finishing teams in the league (although not always). Sometimes it leads to players being unhappy with their team, but you can bet that 3rd overall pick RJ Barrett is not one of those.

The Canadian guard was selected by the New York Knicks with the 3rd pick of the 2019 NBA Draft, and he could not be more excited. While the Knicks have been a struggling franchise for a while now, Barrett seems confident that he can help turn them around.

His boyish reaction at the podium after being drafted certainly earned him some brownie points from Knicks fans.
