Different players carry different roles on a hockey team, and they all have to be working together in harmony as a well-oiled machine for a team to fully thrive. “Roles” can very from on-ice roles, to leadership roles, to… locker room DJ.
Scoff away! But the locker room DJ is in charge of setting the whole vibe of the locker room before a team goes to battle. It’s important to find the appropriate level of hype that suits as many players as possible, and turn the volume up to 11.
For the Leafs, that role belonged to Mitch Marner. We’re speaking in past tense because, er, he seems to have lost the job.
Oof, tough break. One missing part of the story is HOW he lost the job. Which song lost him the job? Was it one song that was SO bad that he immediately lost the responsibility, or was it just another straw that finally broke the camel’s back?
