The world was a completely different place one year ago.

People were walking the streets, the weather was a bit nicer (at least in Toronto) and of course, the Raptors were in the midst of their historical 2019 NBA Championship run. But, as fans are well aware, it may not have happened if... the bounces didn't go Kawhi's way.

Let's flash back 365 days ago. May 12, 2019, at Scotiabank Arena in downtown Toronto. Game 7, the Raps have the ball with a hair over four seconds left. Everyone knew Kawhi was going to get the ball, but where was he going to shoot from? Marc Gasol inbounded to #2 (are your palms sweaty yet?!), who rushed to the far perimeter near the Raptors' bench. While being contested by 76ers big man Joel Embiid, Leonard tossed up a prayer which bounced on the rim for an eternity and... dropped!

HISTORY!!!!

ICE IN HIS VEINS!!!!

All these months later, and Raps fans still have chills from it:

And let's not forget about those Philly fans...

As the story goes, Kawhi & co. took care of business with back-to-back series wins to bring the Raptors its first championship in franchise history. What a shot, what a run, what a team.
