Man, the NFC East is weak.
In a division consisting of the New York Giants, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Washington Redskins… let’s just say it’s hard to decide who is the best team. The 6-7 Cowboys? Incredible, they have the best odds of making the post-season.
While the division is weak, many were still excited about the Eagles/Giants Monday Night Football matchup. It’s a rivalry game, it’s the return of Eli, it’s the Eagles trying to keep their playoff hopes alive – there were actually a lot of storylines for two teams with losing records in primetime.
Unfortunately for those aforementioned playoff hopes, the Eagles took another blow on Monday. Early in the game, number one receiver Alshon Jeffery was carted off the field with a bad looking injury.
This essentially put the Eagles receiving corps back into shambles, a place it’s been for lots of the year. Indianapolis Colts legendary receiver Reggie Wayne thinks he could help out.
That had hints of sarcasm, but it honestly may be true. Sure, he’s maybe had a few soda pops. Sure, he’s 41 years old. But… maybe?
