Look good, feel good, play good.
Style points on the ice are a huge part of the game. Ask any hockey player, their favourite thing to do is judge another players style. There’s nothing we love more than some good hockey sty, but we also can’t stand it when it’s bad. Obviously, you like what you like, and that’s okay. With that said, there are definitely some choices that are better than others. On a scale from 1-10, here's our thoughts on some classic hockey style:
Rolled up sleeves: 4/10
What’s the point of having elbow pads if they’re not showing? They’re obviously all for show. I’m kidding, put them away unless you’re leading your team in points.
White gloves: 10/10
White gloves are just one of those things that bring your style from a three to a ten. Whenever anyone has them on the ice, you automatically want to be their friend. So fresh, so clean.
Tucked in jerseys: 6/10
This is a weird one because it depends on the person. Don’t rock it if you can’t pull it off, but if you can, we’re here for it!
White skates: 2/10
Leave them in the 90’s where they belong.
White cage: 3/10
This only somewhat works if your entire squad does it with you. Win as a team, lose as a team, look fresh as a team.
Socks and sandals: 10/10
Yes this is off the ice but it’s still a key part of every hockey player's style.
Tongues out: 0/10
This should be a criminal offence. C’mon clean it up.
Everyone’s entitled to their own opinions but remember, you’re only as good as your sty!
