It’s taken nearly a quarter of a decade to get to this point, but the Toronto Raptors are now just one win away from hoisting the Larry O’Brien Trophy for the first time in NBA history.
That includes the Vince Carter era, the Chris Bosh era, the DeMar DeRozan era, and everything in between. Management has changed, coaching has changed, even the name of the Arena they play in has changed. Only one this hasn’t changed in the history of the Raps – Superfan Nav Bhatia.
Nav can be seen sitting near the court at every single Raptors home game. We aren’t exaggerating when we say that, rumour has it that he has not just attended every single home game, but that he has not even missed a minute of the action. It’s hard to verify that, but he is absolutely the biggest Raptors fan in the world.
Back in the early 2000’s, you could see Nav tossing a towel in the air as opposing players attempted free throws. You could also spot him easily, as his turban and big beard give him a unique and noticeable look in the crowd.
Nav was in Oakland for Games 3 and 4 of the NBA Finals, both of which the Raps won, and following the win on Friday he was a part of some heartwarming moments with other Raps fans in attendance.
He wasn’t the only Superfan in the building, however. The Golden State Warriors famous “Dance Cam Mom” was also in attendance, and after the game they showed some great sportsmanship and took a picture together.
Needless to say, it was a wild night in the Bay.
