The Toronto Raptors entered Friday night’s tilt against the Dallas Mavericks in search of their 11th straight victory, which would happen to match a franchise high. While Raptors fans have been some of the best in the league all year long and the team’s home record shows for it as they hold the best home record in the NBA, if they didn’t show up early enough on Friday they ended up missing some game action for a very unusual reason.
The mysterious package wasn’t spotted right outside or inside the Air Canada Centre, but it was close enough to the arena to close down two of the gates. As you probably already imagined, this caused quite a mess for the thousands of people who dedicated their Friday night to the Raps and Mavs game.
We completely understand why the fans who missed game action are upset about this inconvenience, but the good thing is no one was hurt.
