Kawhi Leonard was acquired by the Toronto Raptors less than a week ago and basketball fans around the league are wondering if his time in Toronto will be a quick stop or turn into something special.
The two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year arrived in Toronto last week and posed for a photo with Raptors president Masai Ujiri and general manager Bobby Webster that had the basketball community buzzing.
Since Leonard has never really been a person who wears his emotions on his sleeve, or on his face for that matter, fans started breaking down the photo and debating whether he was actually smiling in the photo or was showing his disappointment about having to move north of the border. One Reddit user took their analysis of the photo to another level as they put it through Microsoft’s Emotion API and here are the results they got.
According to the software, Leonard is 38% happy and 60% neutral about being in Toronto based on the only photo he took while he was in town. Obviously this isn’t exactly how Leonard is feeling, as the conclusion is being made based on one photo of a guy who barely smiles, but we’re sure Raptors fans will take the 38% happiness over 0%.
