The Toronto Raptors won their NBA Championship without a Draft Lottery player. They also scored on OG Anunoby with the 23rd overall pick back in 2017. These successes made the 29th overall pick all the more intriguing in Raptors Land.

With 28 picks in the books, the Toronto Raptors decided to select point guard Malachi Flynn, who played at San Diego State University. He’ll slide into a backcourt with similar gritty, heart guard Kyle Lowry and possibly Fred VanVleet.

Immediately, Raptors Twitter reacted to the selection, with some calling him a steal, and others welcoming him. Raps GM Bobby Webster also discussed the pick.
