He's no longer Sid the Kid, although to some of us, we can't help but think of that nickname whenever we see his name pop up. Sidney Crosby will be 33 in August (do you feel old?) and as he's aged, he's done more interviews on the side.
It's no secret Crosby is one of the quieter superstars in the sports world. Like Mike Trout in baseball, Crosby could, if he wanted to, would be even more popular than he already he is had he joined social media like many of his peers.
The truth is, not everyone is comfortable opening themselves up for the world to critique, and there's nothing wrong with that.
But when we do get a clip of Crosby speaking on topics outside the game of hockey, hockey fans cherish that piece of content because we simply don't know much about his personal life and what he likes to do in the downtime.
Downtime is different for Crosby, who's work ethic, determination and results have already made him a slam dunk Hall of Famer with still many years, hopefully, left in the tank. Not one to sit around, Crosby, most all of us, is stuck at home unable to work at his craft out on the ice. The Penguins captain did a rapid-fire interview with the NHLPA, giving fans an inside look into the life of Sidney Crosby the person, not necessarily the hockey player.
Did you know that Sidney's little-known nickname is "Croser?"
A big Peaky Blinders guy? This man has a quality taste in television shows. Cookie dough ice cream is an underrated ice-cream option, so props on that answer.
We'd also love to hear Sid sing Journey's smash single, too.
One minute isn't long enough for Sid, and his pre-game rituals answer reflects that. Hopefully, we get to see him back on the ice, and perhaps more in front of the camera, soon.
But definitely back on the ice first.
